Hand Scraped Natural Acacia Flooring - 7"

Engineered hardwood flooring is composed of 3-9 layers of real wood. It is tongue and groove milled on all four sides. The core is comprised of 2-8 layers of wood which are glued and pressed together using cross ply construction. On top you'll find a pre-finished hardwood wear layer of the species and color you see here. The end result is a real hardwood floor that does not expand, contract, cup, or warp like traditional solid wood flooring while at the same time being much easier to install. These construction techniques allow this floor to be installed using floating, glue down, or nail down methods. It can also be installed below ground level and in areas with higher relative humidity where solid hardwoods cannot. This pre-finished hardwood is significantly more durable than a traditional site finished hardwood and the wear layer is thick enough to be sanded and refinished several times.
