Our handscraped hardwoods have a delicate balance of handscraping and light distressing done by the hands of master craftsmen. Each floor is truly a work of art that will give your home a warm and inviting feel. Handscraped hardwood flooring is ideal for high traffic households and businesses, as it helps mask normal wear and tear over time. Our tongue and groove engineered hardwood flooring is composed of 9 layers of cross laminated wood. The core is created with 8 layers of plywood which are glued and pressed using cross ply construction. The result is a real hardwood flooring product that does not expand, contract, shrink or warp like traditional solid wood flooring. These construction techniques also allow for the flooring to be installed by floating, glue down, or nail down methods. Our engineered hardwoods can also be installed below ground level and in areas with higher relative humidity where solid hardwoods cannot. The hardwood veneer layer is pre-finished with the species and color of your choice. Pre-finished hardwoods are significantly more durable and easier to install then a traditional site finished hardwood. The wear layer is thick enough to be sanded and refinished twice on most of our products.
